Shalini & Mehul

Our story begins in January 2019. Mehul was just getting settled into New York City on W 170th St. About a 100 blocks lower in Manhattan, Shalini's friends were getting tired of her complaining about being single (and spending all her time with them). Pranati & Rohit took matters into their own hands and spent hours going through profiles of guys on dating apps. Finally, they stumbled across Mehul. A few messages (through her friends) later, Shalini & Mehul met for their first date at Vino Levantino on the Upper West Side.

What followed was a year of building a semi-long distance relationship with Shalini traveling for work over half the year - late nights, never-ending FaceTime calls, and a mutual feeling of never wanting it to end.

Fast forward to March 2020: instead of going on an extremely planned and anticipated trip to Italy, Shalini & Mehul went into lockdown in New York City. Going through a pandemic together turned their relationship around 180 degrees - from not seeing each other enough to spending all their time together. Well,  its now safe to say that they passed the test! Over the next two years, they moved to Stamford, CT, put on some happy relationship weight, and decided to set up roots for a life together.

The couple made things official in July 2021 when Mehul proposed to Shalini at their favorite spot in Central Park, where they had spent countless days sitting by the water and talking about the life they wanted to live together (she may have dropped a hint or two). Of course, she said yes!

And that brings us here! Shalini & Mehul can't wait to celebrate their love with all of you on their special day in February 2023, in Kerala, India.
